Our Projects
Polycrystalline Silicon Production
UPMC is implementing an innovative Polycrystalline Silicon Production Project in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, Ukraine. The facility, with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons, combines DSS (Directional Solidification System) and FBR (Fluidized Bed Reactor) technologies along with a 15 MW rooftop solar power plant, ensuring complete energy self-sufficiency. The project aims to create a vertically integrated, eco-friendly, waste-free production of high-purity silicon for the European solar and electronics industries. Project Background and Objectives – As a result of the project implementation, a vertically integrated, high-tech, environmentally
friendly, waste-free, export-oriented, highly profitable business will be created in Europe for the production of solar-and electronics grade polysilicon, with full self-sufficiency in raw materials and energy needs through renewable energy sources integrated into the production process.Â
